WHO ARE WE ?
Both PhDs in biology, we have been working for more than ten years on the study and domestication of seaweeds.
We have participated in various fundamental research projects with public institutes and R&D programs with private organizations (companies and professional organizations).
Our expertise covers the ecology, reproduction and genetics of seaweeds, as well as aquaculture and the development of sustainable production systems.

At 17, I observed my first seaweed. A trigger that has guided my work and collaborations ever since. The study of seaweed biology, their interactions with the environment, and the different cultivation methods has become a passion, bringing me many discoveries and fueling my expertise. But seaweed cultivation is complex... and that's what makes it exciting. Working with living things challenges us, but it also opens the door to endless discoveries and innovations.
Dr. Bertrand JACQUEMIN

For 22 years, I have explored the Natural History in a multitude of aspects, from the basics of Evolution and Genetics to the principles of domestication and the selection of species of interest. I first started with large marine predators (sharks, marine mammals, sea turtles), followed by invertebrates (filter feeders, grazers or detritivores, with or without shells), to finally explore the fascinating world of seaweeds for about ten years.
